We continue to support our local community into 2019 and happy to share a few of our recent charity and sponsorships in the community:


Trivia Night 

A trivia night was held in March to raise money for Beyond Blue, with many prizes on offer from fantastic sponsors.

Team charity lunch

At the end of February we held a delicious charity fundraising lunch in the Newcastle office with plenty of dumplings, spring rolls and fortune cookies and a Chinese New Year theme.

The lunch and a large raffle basket raised over $600 which went towards a John Hunter ICU fundraiser event held by a few of our team members. 



Ronald McDonald House - Meals from the Heart

In February Crosbie Wealth cooked a delicious meal for the families staying at Ronald McDonald House in Newcastle as part of the Meals from a Heart program. The program has groups donate food and their time to prepare a meal for families going through a tough time, to give them a night off from cooking. A big thanks to those who volunteered their time and cooking skills



Fundraising raffle baskets

Our way of being able to help raise money for the numerous charities out there is to provide fundraising gift baskets which we lovingly put together. These two below where on their way to a John Hunter ICU fundraiser and for a fundraiser through Charlestown Bowling Club for Ronald McDonald House.


AHA Newcastle and Hunter Race Day Sponsor

We will be sponsoring the AHA Newcastle and Hunter Race Day again this year to be held on Saturday 4 May at the Newcastle Jockey Club. We have also provided a gift basket for the fundraising raffle.

Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club

We are excited to be the DFK Crosbie Laser Twilight series sponsor at the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club, with the laser racing on every Friday after work.
The NCYC is in a fantastic location on the water at Wickham and offers sailing programs to those of all ages.

AHA NSW Awards for Excellence

The AHA NSW Awards for Excellence were held in Sydney in November with a large number in attendance for a night of celebration. 

DFK Crosbie sponsored the Best Restaurant - Country catergory, with Derrick Eube presenting the award on stage.

The AHA NSW Awards for Excellence are recognised as the most prestigious awards programme in the hospitality industry. The awards honour the achievement of excellence in NSW hotels across a variety of segments including accommodation, dining, entertainment, marketing, social media, community service and talented employees.

Well done and congratulations to all of the winners and finalists.


LSA NSW Awards for Excellence

The Liquor Stores Association of NSW & Act Awards of Excellence was held in Sydney in November with over 300 people attending the event. 
DFK Crosbie was nominated in the supplier of the year category with the award being won by Human Tribe. 


Samaritans Christmas Giving Tree and Christmas Lunch in the Park

The DFK Crosbie Newcastle office are again this year supporting the Samaritans over Christmas,.

Sponsoring the Christmas Lunch in the Park in Newcastle,  guests enjoy a free Christmas Lunch, entertainment, friendship and of course a visit from Santa! 

Also having a Christmas Giving Tree in our reception area to collect gifts for those in need, please feel free to donate any gifts. These will be picked up from our offices on 18 December.

Charity lunch for Invictus Games

The Crosbie Wealth team held their charity lunch on in October to celebrate the Invictus Games being held in Sydney. A delicious meal of burgers, chips and sweets was devoured by everyone. With a total of $1045 raised to go towards the Invictus Games 2018.





Drought Appeal - Fork to Farm

The office held an extra casual clothes day this year on top of our monthly dress down for Westpac Helicopter Rescue. This dress down day was to support the farmers suffering from drought and the donations went to the Newcastle AHA Appeal – Fork to Farm.  Donations from the day totalled $700 and the Partners chipped in to double this to  $1,400.

Charity Lunch for John Hunter Children's Hospital

During the year our teams organise an office lunch to raise money for a charity of their choice. ??
This month we had a delicious meat, gravy and salad lunch to raise funds for the John Hunter Children’s Hospital. ??‍??‍????‍??
There were also raffles and games with some fantastic prizes donated to us by Mr G'sJunction HotelThe Dockyard and General Roberts Hotel New Lambton
A total of $1140 was raised for the HNEkidshealth - John Hunter Children’s Hospital. 
Everyone in our office enjoys taking part and getting involved raising money for the charities we support.??


Charlies Run 4 Kids

The ?Charlie's Run 4 Kids team finished their final day - Day 5 of their 150km run from Seal Rocks on Sunday 23 Sept. Running into the Dudley oval to a huge crowd. Over $131,000 was raised on the family  fun day to go to Arlo's family towards this treatment. The Mai-Wel Celebrity Comedy Debate 2018

Over 270 guests filled Maitland Town Hall in August for Mai-Wel’s 14th Annual Celebrity Comedy Debate where teams of celebrity comedians and local personalities took on the controversial topic; 'We're all winners! Everyone deserves a prize'. The night was a huge success, raising over $15,000 for outdoor project space that will provide skill development opportunities for youth and jobseekers with a disability.



BYKKO launch

Some of the DFK Crosbie team came togther to jump on their bikes to launch the first electric bike sharing service in Newcastle by BYKKO. It was a perfect day to ride from the carriage sheds to the Nobby's beach docking station. Keep an eye on them dotted around town and if you get a chance jump on a bike.


The Mai-Wel Celebrity Comedy Debate 2018

DFK Crosbie are proudly presenting the Mai-Wel’s 14th Annual Celebrity Comedy Debate. It is happening on Saturday, 11th August 2018 at Maitland Town Hall and will be a great night of belly laughs.

The topic for the debate is 'We're All Winners- Everyone deserves a prize', which I am sure will be a very interesting topic to debate on! so far the cptain of the negative team has been announced as Becky Lucas. Read more here...

Liquor Stores Association 

The Liquor Stores Association NSW held their Working on Your Business Forum in May, with our very own Renae Korsman featuring as one of the key speakers.  Renae presented to liquor store owners on asset protection and succession planning, giving case studies on how businesses were able to increase their profit by re-evaluating their trading structures.


Trivia night 

A trivia night was recently organised by the social committee to raise money for Red Nose, which is a charity that aims to eradicate sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Over $1995 was raised for this cause. A fantastic effort and thanks to all of those who generousely donated prizes, including Newcastle Permanent, Banjo Patterson Inn, Rustica, Cafe2U, The Stag and Hunter, Commonwealth Bank, PlanLend, Charlestown Bowling Club, 4Fourteen. We really appreciate your support!

Charity luncheon for Youth off the Streets.

We recently held our first team charity lunch for the year, enjoying a delicious BBQ lunch, fruit punch and raffle prizes. 
We were raising money to donate to John who is riding in the Macsim Sydney to Surfers Robbo's Ride. Riding 1000km over 7 days from Sydney to Surfers Paradise to raise money for Father Chris Riley's Youth Off The Streets

Crosbie Wealth Management donate to Sailaibility

The Crosbie Wealth team recently presented a donation of $1,700 to Sailabilty for two sails. 

Sailabilty is a fantastic not for profit organisation that offers support to assist people of all-abilities to get into sailing. They are located in Belmont and Toronto.? Great local community support.


Westpac Resue Helicopter function

The Wealth Management team held a small client function in February at the Westpac Rescue Helicopter base, where they presented a cheque for the money they raised last year. Clients had a tour of the facilities and helicopters.





We are proud to be part of this great community and it gives peace of mind to the Crosbie team to be able to give back.
