Are you confident your registered club or not-for-profit organisation is compliant and returning maximum value for members and stakeholders? Supporting Clubs DFK Crosbie provides quarterly benchmarking.

Brent Perkins has been building and refining his operational knowledge of not-for-profit organisations (NFPs) and registered clubs for more than 25 years. You’d be hard pressed finding an auditor in the Hunter region and beyond who has more insight into this sector.

Specialising in audits for organisations with a turnover of more than $2 million, Brent focuses on business risks, compliance and strategic goals.

"As the auditor you know the business intimately but it’s more than that. Having a true specialisation in clubs and not-for-profits means there’s real insight on everything happening in the sector, and not every auditor can offer that."

As Brent points out, the flow-on effects of auditing NFPs and clubs are immense because they offer so much value to the community. Of course they exist to serve their members but the big picture is that profits often benefit the whole community through sporting facilities, services and the support of charities.

“Part of our role as auditors is to ensure there is transperancy in financial reporting and the organisation can continue to provide benefits to the community and members.”

Brent Perkins has vast experience in internal and external auditing, corporate governance and strategic business planning. He’s been a Partner with DFK Crosbie since 1995, is a registered company auditor and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
